Ladies and Gentlemen!
To bring you up to speed, I spent much of the summer in Calgary, Canada filming a Lifetime movie called “The 12 Men of Christmas.” You guys, I think it is going to be so cute! It’s Christmas and there are cute boys and it airs on Lifetime on December 5th, so watch it!
After I got back from Canada, where I discovered my love for Strawberry, Banana and Orange Crystal Light, I played the part of “Georgia King” in a new Disney movie called “You Again” starring Kristen Bell and Jamie Lee Curtis. It was so much fun and I cannot wait for ya’ll to see it next year.
Ok, now we’re in September, and then IT happened. Well, it all started when we found out my beloved “Pushing Daisies” was nominated for FIVE Emmy’s! We were all freaking out. THEN, it went and WON THREE out of the FOUR it was up for at the Creative Arts Emmy’s. I was so excited for my friends Bob Blackman, Todd McIntosh, and Michael Wylie and their crews for winning best costumes, makeup and set design. But, with my best friend by my side on my way in to the Emmy’s I knew I was the only one from our show up for an award that day. WOW. It was a SHOCK. I was in disbelief when I won and what an HONOR! I was truly having an out of body experience as I looked down and saw Drew Barrymore and Alec Baldwin grinning from ear to ear while I was giving a speech. I had WON an Emmy! I loved playing Olive so much, so many of you can understand how special it was to be recognized for a show that will live on in many of our hearts.
This is where I HAVE to thank you all. Your letters, “tweets” (we’ll talk about that in a minute) and constant love and support means so much to me! I cannot tell you how much love I feel when I see that jumbo pile of letters on my assistant’s desk. We look through them all and I want you to know that.
Lastly, I did it and I am on the Twitter. It started on the book tour, (which THANK YOU for buying my book and coming to my signings—–it was so fun meeting so many of you), but it has been so fun getting to “tweet” my little thoughts to you and hear about what shows you love and what we share in common. I’ll try to answer more “tweets” very soon. I promise to write more on here soon… I’ve been under the weather, so for now I’m back to bed to try and rest away this cold I have had for so long (as you may know from my tweets!) I’m trying to get rest all while running around preparing for my concerts, “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” AND my return to Broadway in the Spring in “Promises, Promises.” Your prayers, good vibes, well wishes and glitter is much appreciated!!!!!
So much love,
